Irewolede LCDA Boss, Bakare Distributes Palliatives to Communities Amid Economic Hardship

The Executive Chairperson of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ekiti State, Hon. (Mrs) Dupe Bakare, has distributed 75 bags of rice to the representatives of the six principal towns that make up the LCDA, including Ilukuno Ekiti.

The gesture was in line with the directive of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, who had ordered all local councils in the state to provide palliatives to their people to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal by the federal government.

According to a statement by the Deputy Director, Information & Civic Orientation,
Irewolede LCDA, Mr Daniel Abe, the rice distribution ceremony took place on Friday at the council secretariat, under the supervision of the Head of Local Council Administration, Mr. Gbenga Sanya, and the Director of Community Development, Elder Moses Aniyikaye.

In her address, Hon. Bakare thanked the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and Governor Oyebanji for their generosity and responsiveness to the needs and aspirations of the people.
