Students have been urged to take the practical aspects of their courses serious, as such will make them become authority in their fields of study.
An ace Broadcaster, Sunday Kolawole gave the advice during a
Practical/presentation on “Radio and Television Programme writing,” a course for 200 level students of Media Studies Department at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, BOUESTI.
Kolawole who is a Broadcast Journalist working in Ondo state said students should not take their engagement in practicals as punishment, rather it prepares them to become experts in the future.
He lauded the leadership of the department for putting up such avenue where Students can test their abilities in radio and television production through practicals.

In her remarks, the Acting Head of Media Studies Department at BOUESTI, Dr. Omowumi Olaseinde said the practical/presentation was to prepare and groom the Students in radio and television production, as future broadcasters.
Olaseinde urged them to persevere and endure the rigours associated with the course, saying it will prepare them for the task ahead.

She stated further that it was part of the determination of the school management to build Students who can compete favourably with their counterparts after graduation.
Speaking on behalf of the Students, the class Governor, Moses Gideon said the practical/presentation had broadened their knowledge on the best approach to achieve quality radio and television productions.
