It was all pomp, glamour and fun at Damlek event centre, in Ado Ekiti on sunday 28th April, 2024 when the Commissioner for Environment and Natural resources, Erelu Tosin Aluko – Ajisafe marked her 55th birthday in a grand style.
The event which recorded a roll call of eminent personalities, royal fathers and top government officials in attendance wore a royal outlook as all were treated to a befitting reception.
The celebrant who was engulfed with unbounded joy couldn’t hide her feelings while speaking with journalists at the event. She expressed her appreciation to everyone present at the event most especially, the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for being very supportive.
According to Hon. Aluko-Ajisafe, “I feel so happy, so excited.First of all, I would like to appreciate my governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the first lady of Ekiti State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the SSG, Alhaja Habibat Adubiaro and all exco members, all political office holders in Ekiti State, Royal fathers, particularly, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Enitan, the Ooni of Ife. family, friends and all the well wishers for their supports toward the success of my 55th birthday”.
In his message to the celebrant, the Executive Chairman of Ado Central Council Development Area, Engr. Toyin Ojo described Erelu Tosin Aluko-Ajisafe as a kind-hearted and grassroot politician who can die for the course she believes in. He said people from far and near all came to grace the day which shows the kind of a person she is.
“The lesson from here according to the Council boss is that you should keep doing that which you know how to do. She is a real mobiliser and I really thank God for her life. That’s why I have come to celebrate with her on the occasion of her birthday”.
Assessing the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration, Toyin Ojo stated that the governor has been so wonderful. He said though he wouldn’t want to equate BAO to God but described the governor as a mini god in another form based on his benevolent attitudes towards humanity in general.
In his word, “the Governor believes in touching people’s life. He believes in making people happy. In fact, I have never seen the kind of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
“We have never had it so good like this. I believe after his eight years in office, Ekiti people will always remember him for all he would have done. As a council Chairman, I knew where I was before he came and since he came, I know where I am.
My prayer is that God will continue to give him a peace of mind. It is only when he’s having peace of mind that he will be able to take Ekiti to the next level.”
The occasion was well attended by dignitaries from all walks of life. Politicians, top government functionaries, Staff members of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, family, friends and well wishers.
