A staunch member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, Hon. Segun Akinwumi has tendered his resignation letter from the party.
In a press release dated 17th July, 2025 and signed by the former Commissioner who have served in various ministries, stated that, his resignation is done to assure avidity for better participatory democracy and service delivery to the greatest number of people.
He however, expressed his appreciation for the support and trust bestowed on him during the period they shared together. It will be recalled that the People’s Democratic Party has suffered a tremendous set back in the past few weeks as most of the party’s prominent member have pitched their tent with ADC.
